The additional activities so generously funded by JYF brought a whole new dimension to this year’s Family Fun Day on a working farm. The deaf children were very excited to be able to try out the wide range of activities and entertainment, loving everything from the horse riding to the face painting to the bouncy castle and the balloon making.
It was indeed a rare and much appreciated opportunity to enjoy stimulating and accessible outdoor play and learn facilities, interact with animals and nature, and make new friends, both deaf and hearing. Thanks to JYF’s very kind donation, the JDA were able to provide something for everyone, irrespective of age or ability, helping to create a positive group interaction.
